Lindsey L. Miller

Lindsey L. Miller is a NYC-based dancer and choreographer. Professionally, she has danced for Alison Cook Beatty Dance, Quixotic, Lydia Johnson Dance, Beth Soll & Company, Trainor Dance, Ballet des Amériques, Benoit Swan Pouffer, and Abdur-Raheim Jackson. Additionally, she has danced for Marc Jacob’s NYFW show choreographed by Karole Armitage, Buglisi Dance Theatre’s Table of Silence, Heidi Latsky Dance for On Display Installations, and as a guest dancer with Complexions Contemporary Ballet at the Park Avenue Armory. Her film work as a dancer includes credits on HBO, Starz, and tour visuals for Maroon 5 and Lorde. She graduated with honors from Illinois State University with a degree in dance performance and trained in the professional training program at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. 

She has been teaching for over ten years on faculty and as a guest artist across the country for many organizations, including Peridance Capezio Dance Center, Joffrey Ballet School, Greenwich Ballet Academy, Southern Association of Dance Masters, Ballet des Amériques School, McLean County Dance Association, Escuela Superior Ana Rosa Cáceres de Baqueiro, Pure Yoga, and Equinox. Ms. Miller has done choreography residencies at Illinois Wesleyan University and Illinois State University and was a contributing choreographer for Quixotic’s Sensatia – Cirque Cabaret at Faena Theatre in Miami, FL. She is a 500hr RYT with Yoga Alliance and has certifications in yoga nidra, trauma-informed yoga, and barre.

In 2013, she founded her own dance/media company, LLMoves, to develop a platform for her own collaborative projects combining dance with fashion, film, photography, and music. Lindsey’s choreographic work has been featured in various dance and film festivals, including Cucalorus Film Festival, LA CineFest, winner of PBS’ channel THIRTEEN short film contest REEL13, American Dance Guild Festival, and ADF’s Movies by Movers Festival. Recent notable LLMoves’ performances include dancing at Jazz at Lincoln Center for APAP's Booking Dance Festival, at the United Nations in NYC for World Oceans Day, in Campeche, Mexico for Dzul International Dance Festival, in LA for the San Pedro Festival of the Arts, and for NYFW shows for Sho Konishi and Minika Ko. In 2021, Lindsey was a recipient of a City Corps Grant from the New York Foundation of the Arts.

Founded in 2013, LLMoves is a NYC-based company focused on integrating dance with fashion, film, visual arts, and music in unique collaborations.  By combining a variety of artistic mediums in innovative ways, founder Lindsey L. Miller strives to use art to impact audiences’ thoughts and emotions through a sensory experience.  The choreography focuses on utilizing classically influenced lines with a contemporary aesthetic to showcase the company dancers’ athleticism and grace. LLMoves’ mission is to produce interdisciplinary work for concert dance scenes, as well as incorporating dance into fashion shows, film, photography, music videos, art galleries, museums, and immersive theater experiences.

LLMoves' film works have been selected for film festivals, including Cucalorus Film Festival, LA CineFest, American Dance Festival's Movies by Movers, and PBS’ channel THIRTEEN as the winner of their short film contest REEL13. Recent notable LLMoves live performances include dancing in NYC at the United Nations for World Oceans Day, in Mexico for Dzul International Dance Festival, and in LA for the San Pedro Festival of the Arts. In 2021, Lindsey was a recipient of a City Corps Grant from the New York Foundation of the Arts and brought together 30+ artists for a curated music and dance performance in NYC.
